What is UrbanVPN?

UrbanVPN is a straight-forward a premium proxy service which enables users to send requests via 3 networks:

  • UrbanVPN Residential IPs proxy network with more than 2 Million Residential IPs in every country and every city in the world.
  • UrbanVPN Premium Static proxy network with servers in 130+ global countries and cities and 30+ US DMA.
  • UrbanVPN Mobile proxies – coming soon.

UrbanVPN products suit enables users to send requests though our proxy network and view geo-targeted local content from other every country and city in the world. UrbanVPN products suit includes: Residential IPs API, Static IPs API,  Browser extensions (Chrome & Firefox), Android and IOS applications. UrbanVPN is also compatible with every 3rd party solution which requires proxies.

Can I use UrbanVPN to change the IP on the entire computer?

Yes. UrbanVPN VPN,  which changes the IP for the entire computer, will affect any applications that access the internet.

What is the different between static IPs and residentials IPs?

Static IPs are IP addresses that do not change, they are data-center IPs which can easily get blocked if not used correctly . Residential IPs are based on real users, P2P network, making them undetectable and almost impossible to block.

What protocols are supported?

What is UrbanVPN Pro Browser Extension (Toolbar)?

UrbanVPN Pro browser extension is a cutting edge, easy-to-use, proxy solution combining residential IPs alongside with UrbanVPN’s trusted premium proxies network in a single chrome & Firefox extension. UrbanVPN Pro allows you to monitor geo-targeted local content, as if you were actually in these locations. UrbanVPN Pro is a fast and reliable Residential and Data-Center IPs business proxy add on allowing you to switch between more than 2 million unique IPs worldwide.

How secure and private is UrbanVPN?

What are Sticky IPs?

Sticky IPs are a way to maintain session persistence with a predefined time. We offer Sticky IPs in all our Residential IPs gateways allowing our customer to keep the same IP for 1/10/30 minutes. We have dedicated Sticky Residential IPs in all supported countries, states and cities! once you are logged in to your dashboard you will be able to see the full list of all available locations. Can integrate UrbanVPN Residential with a 3rd party software?Yes! UrbanVPN Residential can be configured with a 3rd party software.

If your software runs on a dedicated server or on your local machine, simply add the machine IP to your IP white-list.

If the software is cloud based, contact your customer success manager to learn more about our username-password authentication solution or check out our blog.

I signed up, now how do I use UrbanVPN?

If you signed up to UrbanVPN static IPs, there 4 ways to use it:

  • UrbanVPN Browser extension: To download and install the latest version in chrome store.
  • UrbanVPN Desktop VPN: To download and install the latest version, log in to your account and download it.
  • UrbanVPN Android VPN: Click here to download it from Google Play store.
  • UrbanVPN Direct connect API: Log in to your account and download the API documentation from your dashboard.
Do you support authentication by Username & Password?

Yes, all our gateways support Username:Password authentication. Check out your dashboard for further instructions.

IP Selection & Performance

How can I select an IP per city?

You can select an IP from all the suported countries, currently we support 1700+ cities. Check your dashboard for full list of supported cities or use our location API.

City IP is a premium feature,it’s usage comes with a different pricing compared with your existing plan. Contact your customer success representative for additional information.

Do you have sticky IPs? How can I use it?

Yes, All users can use the 1 minute, 10 minutes & 30 minutes sticky option with no added costs! Simply use our sticky IP gateways, check out the API and examples section for more information. Or log in to your dashboard to see the full list of the available countries.

Can I select the ISP of the IP?

Soon , selecting the IP’s ISP is a premium feature for enterprise customers, contact your customer success representative for additional information.

Is it possible to change the IP on every request?

Yes, simply use our high rotation gateway and every request you send will be from a different IP address.

How can I change my password?

You can change your account password through the “Change Password” wizard found under “Account information”.

Error message 503 – No server is available to handle this request

In most cases this it happens because your machine public IP is not whitelisted in the system. In order to verify your IP address is whitelisted in the system, please follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure there are no proxy active on the machine
  2. Go to …
  3. Copy the IP received there
  4. Log in to Geosurf Dashboard and navigate to “add IP” tab
  5. Add your machine IP there.
  6. Please note that the authentication process of a new IP may take up to 30 min
How can I change my password?

You can change your account password through the “Change Password” wizard found under “Account information”.

Why has my account been disabled?

All our plans are automatically recurring. At the beginning of every recurring cycle, our payment processor will attempt to charge your account.

In case the transaction fails, your account will be automatically deactivated. Our payment processor will make several attempts to charge your account, and in case of a successful transaction your account will be automatically re-activated. Contact us if you have any questions.

How can I change my password?
