Urban Social Adblocker PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy explains how Urban Cyber Security Inc. (“Urban”, “we”, “us”) handles information in the Urban Social Adblocker app for Android (“Urban Social” or “Urban Social Adblocker” or “the app”).
In short: Urban Social Adblocker does not collect, sell or share any information about you. There is no Urban Social account, and everything the app keeps stays on your phone.
What Urban Social is
Urban Social Adblocker is a browser for social networks. It opens the mobile websites of networks such as Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and YouTube, and any other website you choose, inside the app.
Information we collect
None. Urban Social Adblocker has no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising SDKs, and it does not send your logins, your activity or any other data from the app to us.
Information stored on your device
To work like a browser, the app keeps the following in its private storage on your phone. Other apps can’t read it, and it isn’t included in device backups:
- Website cookies and sessions, so you stay logged in to the networks you use. Each extra account you add is kept in its own separate storage.
- Your settings: the last network you opened, which account each network uses, and whether sponsored-post hiding and dark mode are on.
- Sponsored posts detected in this session, to show the counter. Only the post’s visible label, text and link are read, and the list is kept in memory and cleared when the app closes.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android Settings, deletes all of it.
Websites you visit
When you use a social network or any other website in Urban Social Adblocker, you deal directly with that website, just as in any browser. What you post, upload or type there goes to that website and falls under its privacy policy, not this one. Urban Social Adblocker does not read your passwords, messages or form entries.
Permissions
- Internet: to load websites.
- Storage (Android 9 and older only): to save files you choose to download.
Photo and video uploads use Android’s system file picker, so the app only sees the files you pick.
Children
Urban Social Adblocker is not directed at children. It is intended for users aged 16 and over, and the social networks it opens have their own minimum ages.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
